Closing the Year with Hope: Introducing The Aware Foundation and New Support Tools
Dear Aware Coaching Family,
As the year comes to a close, I’m excited to share some incredible updates with you. The most transformative is the launch of The Aware Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit arm of Aware Coaching. This step strengthens our mission to ensure that cancer patients and caregivers can access the emotional and relational support they need, regardless of financial barriers. Here’s what we’ve been up to this month.
The Aware Foundation: Hope in Action
The Aware Foundation (EIN: 33-1349893) provides scholarships to cancer patients and caregivers burdened by the costs of treatment and survivorship. Your generosity enables us to offer essential coaching, tools, and resources to foster emotional resilience and relational health.
Here’s how you can join this mission:
- Donate: Your contributions provide life-changing support to those in need.
- Share: Help spread the word and expand our reach.
- Partner: Collaborate with us to grow the Foundation’s impact.
We can now accept tax-deductible donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations, and we’re actively pursuing grants to further the Foundation’s work. Together, we can ensure that financial stress never stands in the way of healing and connection.
New Tiered Coaching Offerings for Cancer Patients and Caregivers
I’m also thrilled to introduce our new tiered coaching model, tailored to meet diverse needs and resources:
- Entry-Level Support (Free): Weekly CARE Guides and journaling prompts for self-reflection and growth.
- Foundational Support ($99/month): Monthly group coaching and access to a peer support community.
- Personalized Support ($399/month): Bi-monthly one-on-one coaching sessions with advanced relational health tools.
These tiers make relational health support accessible to everyone, regardless of their situation.
Introducing Elliot and the CARE Curriculum
We’ve also launched Elliot, our AI Relational Health Coach, as part of the new CARE Curriculum. Together, Elliot and CARE provide practical tools and personalized support to enhance emotional resilience and strengthen relationships.
The CARE Curriculum focuses on:
- Connecting: Build trust through open sharing.
- Affirming: Foster positivity by recognizing strengths.
- Reflecting: Share needs in a supportive environment.
- Empathizing: Navigate triggers with compassion.
Elliot adds to this with:
- Real-Time CARE Check-Ins: Guided emotional processing to enhance relationships.
- Journaling Assistance: Prompts to foster resilience and reflection.
- Growth Mindset Coaching: Strategies to overcome challenges and grow.
This dynamic combination ensures every client has access to actionable, compassionate support, especially through our foundational and personalized coaching tiers.
Webinars on Navigating Grief During the Holidays
In partnership with Man Up to Cancer, Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation, and YmAbs Therapeutics, I had the privilege of delivering webinars on:
- Holiday Grief: Honoring loved ones while finding hope.
- Grief in the Workplace: Fostering connection, empathy, and resilience among colleagues.
These sessions sparked meaningful conversations about relational health and provided practical tools for coping during the holidays.
Connections Made in November
November was filled with powerful moments that reminded me of the strength in community:
- 30 Minute Connects: 24 impactful conversations.
- 1-1 Coaching Sessions: 16 personalized sessions.
- Hour Meet-Ups: 3 group-style engagements.
- Consultations: 2 introductory coaching sessions.
- Podcast Recordings: 2 episodes on resilience and growth.
These connections reflect our shared mission to inspire transformation through relationships.
Vision for 2025: Expanding Support and Innovation
Looking ahead, my focus is on creating new ways to support emotional resilience and relational health. A key project is the CARE App, which will:
- Facilitate CARE Check-Ins with guided steps.
- Offer journaling and reflection tools.
- Integrate Elliot for personalized, AI-driven support.
- Provide on-demand access to CARE resources anytime, anywhere.
This app will make relational health tools accessible to more people, empowering them to navigate challenges and strengthen connections on their terms.
Seeking Faculty Collaboration
I’m seeking a faculty partner to help develop a grant proposal for 2025. This grant will fund:
- The CARE App: A scalable digital tool integrating the CARE Curriculum and AI-driven support.
- Research: Studies to measure the impact of relational coaching on resilience and caregiver-patient relationships.
- Scholarship Expansion: Increasing access through The Aware Foundation.
If you’re interested in advancing emotional and relational health together, please reach out to me at [email protected].
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support makes everything we do possible. Together, we’re creating a legacy of hope, healing, and connection. I wish you and your loved ones peace, joy, and resilience this holiday season.
Warm regards,
Jason Binder
